Adobe Photoshop is also a part of video editing. Here are some lessons and examples on Adobe Photoshop. It's very easy to learn.

 Cropping with Polygonal Lasso Tool

The are many selection tools in Adobe Photoshop. Because there are many cropping styles like rectangular selections, circular selections, etc. Polygonal Lasso Tool in Adobe Photoshop is also a crop tool used for cropping non-square or rectangular shapes. And it can crop images easily. Let's take a look.

1. Open a picture file you want to crop-out. (If you are a beginner you can start with a simple cropping so you can do it with simple cropping.

2. Select Polygonal Lasso Tool from the tool pallet. If it doesn't appear click for a while on the Lasso Tool or Magnetic Lasso Tool. It will opens a menu. Select Polygonal Lasso Tool from the menu appeared.

3. Then it's time to crop. So you can click around the shape. Once you clicked it will act as a path. And to finish the selection you have to connect it with the point you clicked first.

4. Now you are OK with the selection.After selection you can cut or copy it on to a new document or other imported picture file by pasting it.(You can paste it by Edit > Paste or ctrl+V keyboard shortcuts. The picture left side shows the Polygonal Lasso Tool.

The below pictures show an example. The first picture shows the original picture. And the second one is after cropping. Third picture shows the cropped picture pasted to a new background.

Artworks using Magic Wand tool

          
Using Magic Wand tool in Adobe Photoshop it's very easy to do editing in photos. Here is a example on Magic Wand tool. Lets do it! First you have to launch Adobe Photoshop and open a picture you like to edit.( go for file menu and click on click on  Open As... or press Alt+shift+ctrl+O keyboard shortcuts) It's more useful if you browse picture files. To do this go for file menu and click on Browse. You can browse more pictures and open as your desire. If your computer installed Adobe Bridge it will launch otherwise it opens browse window.  If you can get a simple photo as your first editing I think it will easy for you. Because this selection can be apply to a single coloured area.
         

Magic Wand Tool

After you open a picture file.(see number 1) Click on Magic Wand tool on the tool pallet. If it doesn't appear click and don't hand over the mouse button and keep for a while on Quick Selection Tool. Then it will appear. After selecting  Magic Wand tool click on the picture you want to select. (be sure with a single colored space) For the example I have clicked on the boat for edit. Then go to copy command in edit menu. Or press ctrl+c. Take a new document from File > New and paste it. (see number 2) So now you can move, re-size, or with other editing.(also you can directly paste it to another photo or picture file) As the example I place a background picture for the document. (see number 3) Like that you can practice it using simple editing and after that you can go for big editing. But using Magic Wand tool you cant select multiple colored pictures. If you want you can use another tools like selection tools or Lasso tools. I think it's also easy for the beginners to use this MAGIC!!!

Skew an image using adobe Photoshop.


This is an easy tool for use. But it can do a big job. Many graphic designers use this tool for their editing. Because using this tool they can design their projects creatively. Now I'm going to teach you about this amazing tool. First you have to launch adobe Photoshop and get some pictures to it.(or photos) Then go to Transform in edit menu. But it's can't selectable. Because you are not select any piece of image. Therefore first select a text or image, using selection tool or using other type of selection tool. Then you can go to Transform in edit menu. Click on skew under the Transform.(Edit > Transform > Skew) Then you can use the tools around the picture you selected. And you can click on it and drag it as your desire.  You can see what happen. Like that you can select other points and continue your editing. After that get finish on skewing. Click on tool box for apply it permanently. Following images guide you the way.

1.Open the picture that you want to skew.

2.Select a text or image, using using selection tool or using other type of selection tool

3.Then you can go to Transform in edit menu. Click on skew under the Transform.(Edit > Transform > Skew)

4.Use the tools around the selected picture and drag as your desire.

5.Click on tool pallet. Then appear a dialog box like this. Click on Apply button to  apply skewing. Otherwise you can select Don't Apply button if you don't.

That's all for skewing.... Now it's ready for other editing.
