Capturing video from a DV camera

Windows Movie Maker is also supported for the video capturing from devices. It's more comfortable if you are using a laptop. Follow the below steps. And you must first connect a DV camera properly.

1. Go to file menu and click on Capture Video. ( File > Capture Video)

2. After that it opens a window that about available devices. And you have to select your DV camera.

3. Enter a name for the video in the box "Enter a file name for your captured video". Then in the  "Choose a place to save your captured video" box select the location where you want to save your capturing video.

4. You can also select video settings for your video and audio on the page Video Setting

5. On the Capture Method page, click Capture the entire tape automatically.

6. If you want to separate video into smaller clips please select the Create clips when wizard finishes check box. If you want to stop capturing before the end of the video tape, click Stop Capture, and then click Yes in the dialog box appear.

7. After that you can close the video capturing wizard by click finish.
