You can control the audio levels in a video make using Windows Movie Maker. This can be used when you want to change the audio level in the video or in the audio. If you want to decrease the volume of your video and increase the volume of you audio, so you can use this option. Open Windows Movie Maker follow the below points.
1. Import a video and an audio file into Windows Movie Maker.
2. Drag and drop the video and the audio on to Timeline where place the audio and the video.
3. Go to Tools menu and click on Audio Levels. ( Tools > Audio Levels )
4. You can use the indicator to change the audio level from audio of the video to audio.
5. Click on close button to remove the option from the screen but it will apply to your making movie.

When you are changing the indicator you can preview it by click on the play button of the video player on Windows Movie Maker. You can go further with Adobe AfterEffect and Adobe Premier with these editing.
If you want to mute the audio of the video on the Timeline, so right on the audio on Timeline and click on Mute. Then your audio of the video turns mute. To undone again right click on the video and remove the tick on the Mute option by clicking on mute. And you can add another audio file behalf of that.
